Post Evacuation Blues . . .

I'm back home.

Port Lavaca was spared the brunt of the storm, but friends in Houston were not so lucky.

I worked today, for only the second time since the 28th of August. I spent most of the day putting my office back together from the hurricane preparations.

On top of everything else, I've had a wicked chest cold for about a week.

Scottie has progressed physically to the point where he is out of I.C.U. He has still shown no signs of responsiveness.

We wait.

Good to hear from you, BSR. Glad that you and the boys are safe, glad that your home wasn't badly damaged. Houston sure does sound like a mess, though.

I continue to hope for the best for your brother. Feel better, and know that your friends are thinking of you.

ps: Dusty sends purr and biscuit therapy to you and Scottie.

I've been anxiously watching the news and waiting to hear from you--glad to hear the update. I'm delighted about your brother's progress, too; modern medicine and his own strength may yet pull him through!

My best wishes to your Houston friends that they can recover their lives quickly.
