Well?

Did You watch Obama's 30 minute program?

I confess, I teared up a little.

I want this so bad. He is what this country needs, and has needed. It's a damn shame Bush's deficit and fucked up economy will take away what could have been spent on a true progressive agenda.

America may just survive.

Go vote.

Me, too. I teared up. How could one not?

I didn't get to see it. Bummer.

The Kid is going to accompany me to early voting this week, I am just not sure when yet (hopefully tomorrow).

The ending I have heard in person twice before so that muted the impact a little bit, but I felt myself tearing up a little even so.

Obama makes me feel actually optimistic for once. That's pretty rare for me.

Yes, I thought it was terrific.
Of course I'm voting and even volunteering this w/e.
I think New York will go solidly Obama.
It would be really wonderful......

I've just read about it. Do you think it will sway some of those who claim to be on-the-fence?

I happen to know that my Dad (lifetime Republican)has already voted for Obama. It gives me hope.

I teared up, too. Rolled my eyes at the amber waves of grain, but he got me by the end. I turned to my husband and said, "How long has it been since there's been a candidate who is honest-to-goodness inspiring" I think it was JFK, who was there 15 years before I was born...

(I like your blog, BTW. Discovered it through my sister's blog, oneminutewriter.blogspot.com . She's pretty conservative, but I know she joins me in being glad to see her readership expanding... I think my husband and I may have been the only self-described "progressives" on there before you....)

Bee - I certainly can't imagine anyone who would still be undecieded at this point, but for those who may be, I think it did an excellent job of humanizing him.

He isn't some scary black, Muslim, Marxist, etc.... He's a Father, son, grandson, and he really wants The U.S.A. to be good for all of it's citizens.

So, yes, to your question, if they watched it, I think it would.

Beckiwithani - Welcome to our little corner of the Web. It's great to have you here, and thank you for the nice comment.

Me too!!! I bawled my eyes out. You speak my language. I was lucky to see him in when he was in northern Virginia a couple of weeks ago. I've never seen such a diverse group of people (35,000+) supporting Barack! When our our Governor announced Barack there was not a dry eye in the place. He is so damn inspiring! I hope the American people get it right this time. We were robbed eight years ago and I'm still bitter about it....

Love your blog!
p.s. northern Virginia is the "blue" part of the state.....

Ohmigod. Not only teared up but stood, kinda swaying, throughout the half hour.
I feel warm in his "presence."
Love the guy. Feel, truly feel, that he can move this country in the right direction.
Wanting, hoping desperately, really, that Obama can improve race relations in America. Imagine, being a young black child, to see that the president is a black man, that, yes, it's not just a dream anymore that blacks can rise up and achieve at top levels, but a reality.
I pray every day for this man's safety.
