My fellow foodies will, I hope find this funny.
While attending a marriage seminar on communication, Wally and his wife Carolyn listened to the instructor declare, "It is essential that husbands and wives know the things that are important to each other." He addressed the men, "Can you describe your wife's favorite flower?" Wally leaned over, touched Carolyn's arm gently and whispered, "King Arthur White Whole Wheat, isn't it?"
That man has his priorities right.

Bring her a dozen for Valentine's Day :)
now...see? that's funny!
I made sauteed chicken with King Arthur White Whole Wheat flour last night, and it was thoroughly delicious.
Thanks for the link.
I have to admit the original joke said "Pillsbury all-purpose." Pillsbury Smillsbury. That's boring. So I substituted MY favorite which is KA White Whole Wheat--so wonderful in everything and my meat and potatoes husband loves the bread I make from it!
Great joke. Wish I'd been clever enough to actually write it myself. :-)
Hey Glenna!
Welcome to our little corner of the Inter-Tubes.
(Love your site)
This joke is adorable...
Last year, I had a potential eHarmony-introduced love interest come visit me. Now, he and I didn't talk every day, but we had talked enough so that he knew cooking was a cornerstone of my life. I made a very special dish for him - my Asian-inspired Bolognese with fresh whole wheat pasta and a nice salad. I also made a batch of my experimental cookies. He had no response. Never said thank you, never commented on its tastyness or its creativity. I mean even if it wasn;t the most fabulous dish in the world, if you knew that a potential girlfriend was a big cook, wouldn't you at least try to say something nice when she cooked a special meal for you?
He never quite understood when I told him I didn't think there was a future for us...
Either you get it or you don't. For some people food is just fuel.
Oy, that's just plain rude. No wonder you didn't pursue anything with him. :) My bf is one of those people for whom food is just fuel (or something), but he still thanks me when I make something that he gets to eat--even way back before he knew how very into cooking I am.
