Father's Day 2007

Tubing, smoked chicken and BBQ baby-backs, great friends, and my family together at their bay house.

It was an excellent Father's Day. To all of you who are Father's - Happy Father's Day.

To all the single Mother's who take care of your kids day after day without a father - Happy Father's Day to you as well.

I spent fathers day drinking bloody marys and watching Howl's moving castle with the monkey boy (no bloody marys for him though).

I prefer father's day to mother's day because I can't stand the fetishy way moms are regarded. I'd rather have universal healthcare and preschool than flowers and cards.

I'd be suspicious of anyone who wouldn't. :)

How was Howl's Moving Castle?

Happy (belated) Dad's Day! That's a great picture, too - y'all look wonderfully close and happy together.

I love Miyazaki (sp?) movies and Howl's Moving Castle is awesome. If you're looking for animation with great female characters (instead of the Disney princess crap)he can't be beat.

I heard a rumor that Miyazaki picks stories with cool girls in them so his granddaughter would have better role models.

Enough gushing though.
