Cough. Wheeze, Ugh. . . I'm Still Alive

The flu has taken our house hostage for about a week.

I used to be a healthy person.

I've been sick more in the last year than in the last 15.

Oh well, I'm back at work after missing two days in a row for the first time in recent memory.

I've got some catching up to do, but I'll try to check in.

What did you guys do this weekend?

Lol! I so sympathize!!

What did I do this weekend? I recovered. I hope. I've been sick, off and on but never really quite healthy, ever since New Year's Day. Fight on, lymphocytes! Hope you're feeling better today.

But I did see some movies this weekend: Cloverfield and There Will Be Blood in the theaters, and The Departed and 3:10 to Yuma at home. We were going to see Persepolis, but that didn't pan out.

Yes!! Same here!!

I saw your comment about There Will Be Blood

I need to get out, but it takes an act of FSM for me to get to see a film in the Theatre these days.

I need to see: (In no particular order)

No Country For Old Men
There Will Be Blood
Juno
Cloverfield
Persepolis
Sweeny Todd

My two cents: if you can only see one of those on the big screen, go with Cloverfield, Sweeney Todd, or There Will Be Blood. Cloverfield, being a monster movie, will obviously lose something on a smaller screen. Sweeney Todd has the kind of slam-you-to-the-back-of-your-chair intensity that is great on a big screen with a huge sound system. And I think it will be hard to do justice to the amazing cinematography of There Will Be Blood (not to mention D D-L's very powerful performance, and the OMGwow use of sound/music) on a small screen.
