I go pick up the kids today. They have been visiting their Mom for a couple of weeks. I am WAY past ready to have them home.
Here's to hoping I can take off a couple of days and enjoy them before we get into the hassle of back to school prep. It's pretty close.
Meanwhile, here's something to enjoy, and by all means, please do. The film was very, very disappointing to me when it came out, but it's growing on me, and this song was done very, very well. It translated to film beautifully.

Oh, enjoy! I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get those days off, too. Back to school will be here before we know it.
Oh, I was also really disappointed w/ the film...but like it on it's own merits.
I like the way this song was done...really. I was more disappointed w/ "Take Me Baby".
The guy who plays Mark amuses me so much! And the pipes on Joann!
I never saw a stage version of Rent, so I have no basis for comparison, but I've heard lots of people say they didn't like the film. It was ok with me, and I adore Jesse L. Martin, so...
I hope you get time off to be with the kids. One thing I don't miss about the fact that my "baby" is 29is everything about SCHOOL! Summers were so much easier.
Oh, and I liked the graphic of Their Mom.
