Going home to bed.

I'll try to post later.

Oh dear - that's bad.

I hope you have proper medication. There is help available, you know.

My deepest sympathies.

(My husband and I both get them.)

Louise Hay makes a recommendation for migraines that makes a lot of sense to me. You have to catch it before it gets full blown. The 'technique'involves doing the one thing that I can think of that you can do by yourself (preferably in a very private place) that gets your circulation and your respiration going at a very high rate and then provides an immediate and extreme release of bodily pressure.

Seventh Sister, I'd better get started preventing the next one right now!

Does Imitrex works for you?

I used to have them constantly.

So much so that I went on a med, topamax, which helps prevent them from happening in the first place.

I haven't had one in a very, very long time. There was a period about 12 years ago, when I was getting them on average, about two to three times a week.

Then, they just disappeared.

Monday, I was given a Maxult, and it helped a lot. It didn't completely go away, but it helped a lot. A whole lot.

Thanks for the tips, I'll check into those meds.

Imitrex - they were the first.

I remember when I got a shot of it for the first time (the stuff was not available in tablet form then)- I could not believe the relief. It was a major, major event in my life. A while later the tablets came and they have been my best friends.

By now there are several newer "generations" of this type of medication available. They are all good, but I stick to the good old Imitrex (never change a winning team).

I know what I am taking about - I have suffered from severe migraines since I was 12.
